SCIENCE
Chapter 1 Classifying Living Things
Lesson 1 How are living things classified?
Lesson 2 How are plants and fungi classified?
Lesson 3 How are animals classified?
Note: Identify a plant cell from an animal cell, vascular plants from nonvascular plants and fungi.
Chapter 2 Life Cycles
Lesson 1 What is Heredity?
Lesson 2 What are some life cycles of plants?
Lesson 3 What are some life cycles of animals?
Note: Clearly identify the five stages of a plant life cycle, what is photosynthesis and kind of reproduction (asexual and tubers), as well as the difference between direct development and metamorphosis.
Chapter 3 Adaptations
Lesson 1 How do the bodies of animals help them meet their needs?
Lesson 2 How do the behaviors of animals help them meet their needs?
Lesson 3 How do living things of the past compare with those of today?
Note: Review which are the basic needs. Clearly understand the process of migration, hibernation, extinction, and adaptation.

Reread the lessons, study vocabulary, activities and order of the events for each of the following lessons:

SPELLING
Study spelling and meaning of the Basic Words from Unit 1 to Unit 9. From units 1 to 3 classify words according to their sounds; short or long sound.
Words for the Dictation exercise will be from UNIT 8 & 9. Pay special attention on these words!
